Irish Whiskey Stocks Go Up #drinking #whiskey #history

Irish Whiskey is on the rise thanks to a new distillery in Dublin's Newmarket Square. The new whiskey house, the Teeling Distillery, has grabbed the attention of many a whiskey drinker, and us here at The Drinking Press. Learn a little bit about the distillery and the history of Irish Whiskey through this article in The American Spectator.

A nice tidbit:
Dublin alone had a few dozen whiskey distilleries, such as John Power and Son’s massive John’s Lane distillery. It belched forth 900,000 gallons of liquor per year, employed 275 men and had its own fire-suppression crew.
Visit us at The Drinking Press, and get yourself a nice glass of uisce beatha.
